The Wake That Was

Sorry if my entry sounds morbid today. =D

I already wrote that a 'relative' died a few days ago and the interment will be on Friday. Anyhoo, my son and I paid a visit to the wake yesterday at lunch time and I was surprised when nobody's there. It is a Filipino tradition that someone should be by the coffin when there's a wake. It felt really creepy, LOL. So what I did was called on my son and niece to guard the coffin while I look for the immediate family of Uncle Wally. Geez! The kids were willing to play by the coffin, thank goodness.

And about the immediate family of Uncle Wally? They were all busy getting groceries. Sweetbejeezus!
